The animal

The dolphin

A familiar silhouette on Mediterranean shores, the bottlenose dolphin embodies the grace and intelligence of the marine world. Curious and sociable, this emblematic cetacean lives in small groups on the continental shelf, often within earshot. But behind this cheerful image lies a more fragile reality: pollution, maritime traffic, depletion of fish stocks... all pressures that threaten its survival. In the Pelagos sanctuary, the population is estimated at less than a thousand individuals, a critical threshold for a species now classified as vulnerable.

Aware of this worrying reality, the Ross'Wild fund is actively involved in providing financial support for actions to protect this messenger of the seas, in collaboration with the French association Miraceti.
